When I start on a new project I can't help but feel excitment. This peice is on a new client and dear friend Jan. It is still in progress, but after one sitting it is slowly taking shape. The fox(kitsune) and cherryblossoms(sakura) are one of my favourite designs right now.

Now that i am in the process of starting my own studio. I must say that it is really satisfying to know that i have help from both family and friends. It is times like these that one can truly feel happy for what is in his surroundings. I felt that this picture was the perfect way to show exactly what i mean. A man working on a japanese influenced studio, covered in the finest of irezumi. The piece done on my brother(the one on the picture) is not done by me. It is one of my senseis, Matti Sedholm aka Horimatsu.

The last member of y family has finally started threding the deep path of irezumi. This is my father, who today started a kame-no-koh "turtle back" with a Tora (tiger). He has been talking about doing it for awhile now. So i must say that i feel honored and happier than ever that we have started.

This is a new klient of mine, Erik. He choose the ryu(dragon) and the koi for his first irezumi piece. I truly feel lucky that i have found so many klient that are like Erik, completly dedicated to irezumi, never backing down though the costs and the pain that comes with getting it.

finally I have my camera after many sleepless nights. Been waiting for the camera in 1.5 months. But now I have it. So hopefully I'll be able to start writing more, it is quite difficult to find time between work and all the reading, but I will try my best.

im gonna start by sayng that i am very sorry for not beeing able to write as much i i would like to. The whole purpose of this blogg is to show my path to becoming a fullblooded horishi. As you have seen i haven´t written in awhile. It´s because i am waiting on a camera that i have ordered and this may not be the most justifyed reason. But I don´t only what to talk about my experiences as i digg deaper in irezumi. I want there to be a picture as well as text in every contribution. so that you can se aswell as read about it.

The start of something new

This is the fist of many things that i am going to write, to try to show my path threw the japanese tattoo art Irezumi. I have to start by saying that I have been blessed by getting a teacher as educated and has as much passion as Matti aka Horimatsu. Its been awile since I started to walk this path of intellecuell growth. But with every day, every challange, every stroke by my pencil and so on, i feel like this i something i really like doing. The only thing that might annoy me is that the mire i read and try to learn the history behind everything. The more do i realize that I only know a fraction of what i what to know. But that i also the thing that makes this so fun and interesting. I can almost feel both my art getting better and a growth on a intellectual plane.
